• The Contractor's Track Record.  This idea includes successfully completed projects and project references, a record of past and current financial stability, current and appropriate insurance, the ability to acquire surety bonding, and a proven safety record.
• The Contractor's Place in the Community:  Well-established contractors will maintain professional working relationships with material manufacturers and trade associations to keep current with the latest techniques, materials, and recommendations.
• The Contractor's Professionality:  The contractor should be explicit in specifying detail for every proposed project.  The quality roof contractor will comply with the material manufacturer's specifications, and will be able to obtain a warranty from the manufacturer for the completed roof system.
